About Platige Image
Platige Image is a leading Polish post production studio with over fifteen years experience in the advertising and film market, and offices in Warsaw, New York, as well as São Paulo (Brasil). The studio specializes in computer graphics, 3D animation, special digital effects and image composition for advertising and feature length productions; among other films, they have worked on the special effects in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia and Antichrist as well as Andrzej Wajda’s Katyń. The studio track record also includes several hundreds of advertisements, opening credits, video clips, and animated shorts, as well as a variety of special projects, such as social campaigns, theater productions and ventures commissoned by state institutions. Some of these projects, for example The Animated History of Poland, The Paths of Hate, and Jan Matejko’s Battle of Grunwald” 3D, will be featured as part of the Platige Image Animation Special Screening at this year’s Ekran Polish Film Festival (Saturday, October 27th, 2:15 PM at Runnymede Library). Platige Image has been recognized numerous times for its work in Poland and abroad, with its projects receiving awards from BAFTA, Siggraph CAF and Annecy IAFF, as well as nominations for the Oscar, Emmy and VES awards.
