Actor Arkadiusz Jakubik among other Special Guests Attending Toronto’s 10th Polish Film Festival

This year Ekran is pleased to announce another all star-cast of notable guests booked to attend Toronto’s 10th Polish Film Festival.
Guests include:

Arkadiusz Jakubik: A man of many talents, he’s an award winning actor, a director and the lead singer in the Polish rock band “Dr. Misio”.  In 2017 he won Best Supporting Actor at the 42nd Polish Film Festival for his performance in “Silent Night”. He will be in attendance to support the screenings of “Breaking the Limits” & “Silent Night”.

Olga Chajdas: She is a 35 year old, powerhouse and award winning director. Recently she won the “Golden Claw”  in the Visions Apart competition at the 43rd Polish Film Festival for her debut feature “NINA”. NINA was also edited by her wife and fellow acclaimed filmmaker, Kasia Adamik.  Chajdas is one of four women directing the first Polish Netflix Original Series 1983.

Bozena Stahura: the Polish actress well known for film, theatre and television. She co-stars alongside award winning actor’s Robert Wieckiewicz and Olgierd Lukaszewicz in “A Cat with a Dog”.

Rafal Sokolowski: Polish-Canadian award-winning film and theatre director. His short film “Seventh Day” won Best Short Film at the 2013 Ekran Toronto Polish Film Festival.

Bartosz Nowacki: Debuting his first short film “On the Road”, Nowacki started his career as an Assistant Director for films such as Andrzej Wajda’s “Walesa: Man of Honour”

Monika Onoszko: The former fashion designer made the switch the film not too long ago and now is 2018 Winner of Best Costume Design at the 43rd Polish Film Festival for her work on the film “Pardon”. Originally from Lodz, currently she lives and works in Toronto.
